In addition to the Lact-Aid, which several MOTs have told me is easier to work with, has she been doing much kangaroo mother care with each baby? Skin to skin is something that can be done with two babies simultaneously or separately. The breast is available/accessible but it's done for the contact rather than BF (BF can be a "bonus") and with no "pressure to perform" on any participant's part.

There's a lot of mystery about the post. Wonder why a newborn, the twin son, "wasn't interested"? As per last week's semantics discussion re: nipple "confusion" and "preference," a newborn doesn't really have the abstract thinking for interest (or lack of), which says other stuff was going on in his mouth. And there must be a lot more behind "supply was never there." How frustrating for this mom.

No matter what, kangarooing will help with both -- get one/both to breast or just help mom with acceptance and individual attachment formation. All the best to her as she works through this.
