My son was extremely allergic to dairy, among other things, but did fine with goat's milk. It was really wonderful for me since I loved drinking milk and hated having to give it up in order to breastfeed (tried soy - I think it tastes awful). I made a lot of stuff using rice and goat's milk. My husband is also now very allergic to cow's milk products, but he also can handle goat's milk/cheese with no problem - he also tried the soy and rice based products and the goat's cheese is much better - we get feta, cheddar, gouda, and various soft varieties. He thinks that the pizza I make with a non-wheat crust and goat's cheese is truly delicious. However, this is not to say that some cow-allergic people will not also react to goat, or develop a sensitivity over time. But for us, the goat products are working very well. Being able to eat good cheese again was very important to my husband who has seen so many of his food choices dwindle over the past year.

Warmly,
