What does his palate look like? Sometimes this very arched upper lip is 
due to a very high arched palate, which is due to tongue restriction, or 
intrauterine positioning, or tongue muscle weakness, or... The tongue 
and palate might be just as much responsible for the difficulty 
maintaining a seal as the lips.
