Following on the pain discussion....
Papers from the Pain Symposium in New York last week will be published in
the gray journal, American J of Obstetrics and Gynecology, later this year,
so would be worth watching for them. The symposium was sponsored by
Maternity Center Association and NY Academy of Medicine.

At a function held in conjunction with the symposium, the Carola Warburg
Rothschild Award was presented to Iain Chalmers, Murray Enkin and Marc
Keirse (part of the Cochrane group, Guide to Effective co-authors) - the
presentation speech is interesting reading and we'll have it on our website
shortly.
