I worked with a mom who had a very good outcome with breastfeeding after
breast reduction.  She had had the pedicle procedure, if I remember rightly.
Some factors in her success, aside from that, were:

        1.  Beginning with the assumption that it was going to work, but with
careful follow up and assessment.  She came to see me a couple of times a
week and got the baby weighed and checked in on the feeding.  The weight gain
was borderline and after awhile we did have her do a little supplementation.

        2.  She and baby fell in love with breastfeeding and she was a very
relaxed mom with a supportive husband and was quite willing to nurse the baby
very frequently.  With the unrestricted, very frequent nursing,  she was able
to build her supply to the point that by about 2 months she no longer had to
supplement.  I really think that in some of these situations, that can make a
big difference.
