I was recently in the hospital for a one night stay post-op. During the
night the sat-rate monitor kept going off, as soon as I'd get to sleep!! To
make me comfortable, and keep the monitor quiet, they gave me 02 throughout the
night. In the AM they wanted to run tests to check for clots... I said to
the (Young, Handsome) Pulmonary expert, "Now that I can hear that monitor, I
can tell you, this isn't new, this is how I sleep." They kept me one more night
for observation and hooked me up to a C-PAP. The next day the Pulmonary
expert came back and said, "Aren't you tired? In 4 hours your sleep was
interrupted 108 times." to which I replied, "I don't know, I'm a mother AND
perimenopausal, isn't this how we all feel?" He just laughed and signed me up for a
sleep study!!!
Yes, growing old is a blast!
