Don't just read the article, but click on the link to see and hear the
commentary... it appeared on TV. It is horrible until the end, when the
female newscaster makes some great remarks!

Did anyone notice the irony that this man's comments were delivered while
he sat next to a statue of Rosa Parks?

While nurse-ins have controversy, Rosa certainly created controversy when
she sat down for what she believed was important. There are numerous
stories of other people who were sick and tired of being treated as second-
class citizens: people who, by sitting down for what they believed was
important, changed the civil rights of people in the US.

To this day, some people may still believe that we are not all created
equal, but the courage of Rosa Parks, and other sit-downers, changed life
for many people.

Could we, perhaps, be embroiled in the next civil rights movement? A
movement that makes some of us uncomfortable, and causes others to become
uncomfortable as we expand the boundaries of "social acceptance." We may
not know exactly how and what to do, but we do know that we are being
treated as second-class citizens and we're tired of it.
