That is total bullshit! You are right, the doc is nuts, the simplest
solution is for her to lie to the doc re:BFing (it's none of his beeswax
anyway!), and if there is concern about the kids hct/hgb, what does it
matter if she's BFing or not? The ladies at WIC will be more than thrilled
to explain "normal" hgb ranges to her, and to suggest ways of adding Fe to
kids' diets if low. This is the stupidest thing I've heard for maybe 3-4
weeks - thanks for giving me something *unambiguous* to be outraged at!
Maybe for an older baby who hasn't yet started solids, or maybe in his
least-informed dreams. Stop me before I rant again!
