MSM is not a drug--it is sulphur and is essential to healthy cell function, She should take it
along with vit C, since MSM will detoxify the cells and vitc will neutralize the toxins. It is
excellent for treating any joint pain or disease of the connective tissue. It is completely safe
as the body will dump any excess. I don't know a knowledgeable athlete who does not take it.

Actually, I looked up the brand she mentioned and it contains vit C, as well as glucosamine,
manganese, condrointin and possibly boswellia, depending on the formula she chooses. Frankly,
I am not sure she needs everything in that brand, and I personally do not know of its quality. Not
the one I would recommend, but would absolutely recommend MSM.

"A mom in our group called me today to inquire about taking
methylsulfonylmethane (MSM, Osteo Bi-Flex). She wants to take it for
knee/hip pain she has from working on her feet all day. Her son is 16
months old and currently nursing about 2x/day. If anyone has any
experience with this, or can check a more recent Hale's I would be
most grateful. I will defintley be getting a newer Hale's soon!"
