Drives me crazy too.  My professor for nutrition in nursing school, spoke
about breast milk being the perfect food but was quick to follow with such
a disclaimer, saying that of course breastfeeding should not come at the
mothers expense and told us her own story of not being able to breastfeed
her own baby after a c-section and complications with the baby.  I felt my
blood pressure hit the ceiling.
Hopefully one day they'll teach the risks of not breastfeeding with the
same lack of emotion and with pure scientific conviction as when they
 teach the risks of smoking.
