After reading my note on Lacntet, I realized that it didn't make much
sense. So I am trying again.

The four month old baby who was telling mom that he was only interested
in feeding from her breasts is starting to take some solids while with
the caregiver. He would not take breast milk from the sippy cup or take
solids or milk from a spoon. A syringe was tried but he just let the
milk come out the other side of his mouth. Mom is most greatful and
everyone seems more relaxed now.

I should tell you a little bit about myself. I am a Public Health Nurse
and recieved my IBCLC a year ago. I work fulltime in the
reproductive/child and adult program out of the Kemptville office of the
Leeds, Grenville and Larnark Health Unit, (an hour south of Ottawa,
Ontario, Canada). I am currently studying part-time in the Nurse
Practitioner program and hope to be finished next August. I am also a
mom of three young adult children and live in the country with my
husband near Merrickville, Ontario.

I have been asked to find out if there is an a Lactation Consultatn
&/or a child birth eduacator in the Parry Sound area. A mom from this
area will be delivering in the Parry Sound hospital & is interested in
having some contacts. You can e-mail me at [log in to unmask] with this
info., if it should not go online. Thankyou in advance.
Patricia
