I am sorry to hear of this mother's concern, despite being thrilled to hear
of anyone nursing to 2.5 years! I suppose you can't really argue with
someone's comfort level, but I would think that a mother who feels this way
might want to stop bathing the child (wouldn't want him remembering THAT)
and what about diapering? getting dressed every day? children definitely
need help dressing long past the age where they beging forming memories.
Still, as others have noted, many mothers who have these feelings never even
begin nursing because of them.

In my experience there is a pretty even split of homophobia about nursing
girls, and incest fears of nursing boys. this is mostly from 3rd party
sources; magazine articles, In Laws etc. the U.S. is a fairly equal
opportunity about denying baby's basic needs. (TIC)
