I just want to clarify that I *like* the Isis. And, I too have gotten
many rave reviews about it. I recommend it to my clients who are pumping
part time after a full supply is established.

I have had one complaint from a pharmicist mom that was using it for
full time pumping. Her milk supply dwindled to almost nothing. She got
it back with double pumping and fenugreek.

My concern about the film is that it implies, but never states, that you
can BRING IN A SUPPLY for a preemie, NICU baby with it. And, it seems to
be saying that you can maintain a supply for that baby with it. I am
doubtful. Although I could see that, if one were double pumping in the
nursery all day, one might get by quite well with the Isis at night...
and that would solve some cost related problems for moms who can't
afford a rental.

Has anyone actually read the research on this? I haven't had time to
pull the article yet... apparently it was published in Pediatrics
sometime on 2001. I will try to pull it this week.

Susan
