Sorry, I'm far behind as usual. Yanet in the Dominican Republic
wrote of a mom who stopped thyroxine when she got pregnant, and
now wants to know if she can resume the med while breastfeeding a
2 mo old. My question: Is it usual to discontinue thyroxine in
pregnancy? What if mom is not just hypo, but has virtually *no*
thyroid, due to surgery or total RAI ablation? (I am concerned
both for a mom I'm following, and for my own daughter, who's
already bought her wedding gown for next year's anticipated
