You need to HAND her printed  AAP recommendations, the Healthy Goals 2010, and any 
other official research based recommendations that you can gather up.  She needs to be 
challenged,  to promote,  what WE need to promote.  She knows better than this, and if she 
doesn't, she needs the enlightenment.  It may be extra work for you, but the teaching 
begins at the ground (Nursing School) up.  Shake things up over there, you can be a 
catalyst for the change, that is necessary, and essesntial!!  I give you credit, I will be going 
back to school, too, soon myself, because it's key to making changes.
