While reading my favorite exercise/fitness magazine at the pool today I ran
across an article that will interest you,
This is from ENERGY for Women magazine / July - August 2002 , page 39

I am putting some of this into my own words...
CLA is a dietary supplement , it is known to have significant fat-fighting
effects. A new study in the scientific journal LIPIDS suggests that CLA may
work so well, new mothers might want to lay off of it because it seems to
fight the fat in breastmilk.

In the study, breastfeeding women were randomly placed in a group receiving
1.5 grams of CLA daily vs. placebo of olive oil. Results showed that milk
fat content was significantly lower in the CLA taking group, and also that
CLA had NO effect on milk output. 9 moms were were in the study.......

Dr. N. Masters and colleagues from the Department of Food Science and Human
Nutrition at Washington State University conducted the study.
