For suggestions about nursing strikes following a bite/bop on the head -- I
had this problem with Alex follwoing a bite/scream episode. What worked for
us was getting in the bathtub with the water nicely warm, turning out the
lights so there was just a candle burning for a little light, and snuggling
and singing and rocking in the water with both of us naked until he was
almost asleep and would latch on. This was the only way I could get him to
nurse for three days, other than at night when he was sleeping next to me,
but after that he seemed to agree that it might be OK to nurse while awake
again. Hope this helps. He is still nursing and will be 4 years old on
Thursday!
