When my husband was diagnosed with squamous cell cancer in his neck, stage
4, almost 2 years ago, I put out the word that I needed milk for him.
This was not too difficult for me because of being in this wonderful
field :) I am still touched by the generous, loving donors who
responded....donors just came forward.

He was on milk therapy for about 8 months using 6 - 8 oz. per day. He
never got any from a milk bank. It was all from home freezers (too much,
too old, can't use-- were some of the reasons it was donated) and direct
donations (lovely ladies of bountiful milk who pumped some for us). I
prefered as little processing as possible and I did not want to take the
chance of taking any milk a needy baby may have used.

I do not know for sure that it was the human milk that made the difference
in his survival, but I feel that it was important. He also elected to use
western medicine -- surgery, chemo, and radiation....Plus herbal therapy
(daily protocol) and Healing Touch (lots of it).

I did not research this use of human milk. I just used it.
And I am thankful for it.
