Look at the sources of the Digest's ad revenues.  Which companies advertise
in it?  Are any of them affiliates of formula manufacturers?
They might well be thinking, about their income source.  Check.  I don't get
Reader's Digest or I'd do it myself.
You don't have to subscribe to the conspiracy theory to wonder about this.
It's just the reality of publishing a periodical in a commercial world.
