To emphasize our very indulgent attitude to formula in western society, I
was just musing today.

What if the study from South Africa that showed that *exclusive*
breastfeeding by HIV positive mothers resulted in less infection by HIV of
their babies than exclusive formula feeding or mixed feeding were confirmed
by other studies?

Would child protection agencies take babies away from HIV positive mothers
who refused to breastfeed?
