I am wondering if any of you can give me a bit of a hand.
I'm in the midst of putting together my CV, I'm applying for a position as
an adjunct research fellow at a university so I have an academic address
(and all that entails) for my breastfeeding research. I'm feeling a bit
stuck here working on my employment history. My background is actually in
agricultural science- plant physiology specifically but in what I have found
to be a common story I discovered breastfeeding when I had my first child
and now plants are just plain old boring!! My son is now 8 and so I've been
reading and doing BF research on the side for quite a while but that's a bit
hard to fit into my employment record and otherwise my employment history
contains very little of any use insofar as breastfeeding is concerned (I do
have some papers published so all is not completely lost). However, I do
think that the work that I have been doing as a mother for the past 8 years
is important and relevent to my research (in fact without my son I wouldn't
be doing this) and so I was thinking of including this in my employment
history. I'm sure that some of you have done this before- anyone care to
share their impressive sounding job descriptions of being a mother?
