Jay,
I had a GYN paint me with gentian violet once. Thank God for
panti-liners! ;-D I don't know about applying it to hubby because I
felt so yucky from the yeast, it wasn't a consideration.

Linda's post mentioned that her yeast was so bad, the skin was
excoriated. In that instance, I'm sure the GV would sting like crazy.
I felt no discomfort, and the relief from the yeast which went away
after one application was marvelous.

If you share two stories with her, she can make the attempt herself.
With q-tips and diluted GV (.5%), if she feels uncomfortable, she can
jump in the shower. There's no reason why she couldn't paint her
husband with fresh q-tips. Following our own instructions, he would let
it dry before he puts his clothes on. That probably wouldn't be the day
he'd want to go to the gym where you have to use a community shower.

Let us know what she decides.
