Ugh. Nikki and I have the same Sent-Too-Fast issues with our computers ...

As to being asked to discuss formula to an entire prenatal BF class, I
suggest you say,
"Tenet 24 of the IBLCE Code of Ethics requires that I support the
International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes;
"At 4.3 of the WHO Code, our hospital is asked *not* to accept educational
materials from the formula mfgrs describing their products;
"At 6.5 of the WHO Code it is clear that any teaching about infant formula
preparation and use should be done by a health worker, to families who need
it, complete with an explanation of formula's hazards;
"Therefores, if any attendee at my class asks a question about formula, I
will say, "Breastfeeding is the biologic norm. If there is a need to
discuss the medically-necessary use of something other than your breastmilk
after your baby is born, you will receive one-on-one teaching about the
risks and benefits involved from your health care provider."
