I have previously posted that "First Candle" is an organization that has a 
relationship with Ross.  Yearly they put out a SIDS door hanger with Ross 
formula advertised.  THey give their justification for doing this as the AAP (in 
their SIDS policy statement) does not list formula feeding as a risk factor for 
SIDS. First candle put out a flyer that went on about the lower mortality rate 
in infants for all causes therefore they promote breastfeeding (i.e. they give 
lip service as most healthcare organizations and health care providers do to 
Breastfeeding).  Additionally, one woman from this organization that I had an 
e-mail conversation with about this became VERY defensive and insisted that 
their medical advisors also agreed that the link was weak.  So, your experience 
at this conference was as expected.
