Dear Lactnet Friends:

Lea Rivera Todaro has shared a wonderful perspective with us for which I
thank her.

My only experiences with women who work in the sex industry are about
nipple rings. When nipple rings are part of one's livelihood, their removal
is not an option. I wonder how many women have nursed well with nipple
rings in place?

We advise removing the ring during lactation, but then the ring is
difficult to resituate.
