For those asking for ref reguarding rota virus and breastfeeding,
heres two:
A Glycoprotein,Lactadherin,inHuman Milk Binds Specifcally
to Rotavirus and Inhibits its Replication by DS Newburg et al
 Lancet 351:1160-1164, April 18,1998

Matson David O.
Current Status of Rotavirus Immunization
Clincal Updates in Pediatric infectious Disease Vol 2
Issue 4
Sept 1997

before the birth of my baby I was planning to take him to
the tertiary center where I trained (55 miles away) to get him
the rotavirus vaccine as it was one of the study centers.
However the study closed before he was born. I wasnt as
BF educated then. Right now I wouldnt drive 55 miles to get
the vaccine but if it becomes available for routine use before
my DW and I have another baby I'm not sure if I'll opt for
it. Depends on how much additional protection it provides and if
it decreases viral shedding.
