Unbelievable, I just read that article and someone needs to write a piece for the Editorial section,  The 3 reasons they give have other explanations and multiple etiologies. Was this a population based epidemological study or an RCT? 1. Iron deficiency Anemia, lets talk about the fact that early cord clamping deprives the Infant of up to 1/2 of it's circulating blood volume, rich with iron that the Mother worked so hard to provide, 2. Food allergies, Nonsense, it is actually the reverse, early exposure to food proteins/antigens, that cross a more permeable Gut, at 6 months as opposed to later,  would theoretically form antibodies to said food that would then be present throughout life, 3. Decreased incidence of Celiac disease, give me a break, first of all, over a 4 month period in Sweden? How do they measure this, how do they sample, is it random, large enough sample to reflect accurately the entire population and perhaps there was a decreased number of celiac diagnoses in that time period, but perhaps that was due to other factors,  less people going to their MD's with Sx, or less MD's diagnosing properly!!!!!!!And how does exposure to large foreign protein antigens sooner as opposed to later in a fragile infant gut ecosystem better ?  And what happened to realizing Babies know when they are ready and will reach for food, some at 5 months and some at 11 months? Do they actually read this stuff before they publish it? Junk Science.
