Remember the story recently about the boat people that were kept alive by
breastmilk of a woman in the floundering boat? I another list that I get
'bizarre' true news items from is called www.bizarrenews.com . Of course
they had the story about the people suckleling BM. A day or two later
another reader posted this story in response:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Lewis, since you had the story about the Puerto Ricans who
survived on breast milk, I wanted to tell you another story
about the wonders of breast milk. I had a missionary friend
who spent some time in India. One morning he opened the hood
on his jeep and found a cobra piled on the engine. Before my
friend could drop the hood, the cobra spat its poison in his
eyes. Two villagers rushed over to him...The next thing my
friend knew was he could feel a liquid that almost imediately
stopped the pain. As he slowly regained his eyesight he saw
the woman tucking her boob back into her top. The doctor later
confirmed this by saying that breast milk actually neutralizes
cobra poison and the woman saved his eye sight by acting so
quickly.
[An important safety tip. Thanks, Egon]

Of course I have no way to verify this story, maybe it is only another " web
legend " but I thought it would be interesting reading for this list.
