I strongly recommend AGAINST getting all your CERPs from one provider.
Lactation consulting is a new field, and there is not a full enough body
of knowlege in any one place to make one a good lc based on one course.
I believe this so deeply that I require my interns to work with several
other lactation consultants other than me, because I don't pretend to
know everything.

If you want to take an all in one course as an overview of the field
before starting an internship, or as an exam review, then that would be
more appropriate, IMHO.

The NY Lactation Consultant Assn has full day conferences twice a year.
(www.nylca.org) We are having Cathy Carothers from Best Start on Feb 7,
and our own Judy LeVan Fram is going to be speaking that day as well.
LLL NJ is having a full day conference, with lots of CERP sessions in
early April. NYLCA is having a half day ethics seminar in mid April as
well. And the LLLI Lactation specialist workshop comes to Long Island
every year in April. Stonybrook University has a fabulous conference
every May, put together by Dawn Frank. JHL, the ILCA Globe, and the
ILCA website are all good places to find out about conferences and
workshops. Denise Fisher has online courses, and Jan Barger has a
travelling "exam cram" and can tell you where she's giving it this year.

Good luck in finding the very best education to prepare you for the boards.
