I have a non-local client who has had psoriasis for years and nipple thrush
problems with each of her kids (the latest flare-up following antibiotics
for a strep throat). She's found that when she takes medicine for thrush,
her psoriasis improves, which we both think is pretty interesting.

She's just read The Yeast Connection, and based on that is interested in
trying oral nystatin for herself, or a couple weeks of diflucan. Her
doctor says oral nystatin won't work, and doesn't want to prescribe more
than two pills of diflucan.

I've suggested that she ask her dr to call Ruth Lawrence's Lactation Study
Center in Rochester, only a couple hours from her, to see if she can get
some support for longer term diflucan that way, but she's doubtful she can
get her dr to do that, and wonders what her next step should be.

What should her next step be? How does she go about finding a dr who will
work with her on finding a way out of a recurring thrush cycle? Since
she's not local, I know nothing about drs in her area.
