Because tonsils aren't as readily taken out as they were 20 years ago,
those of us who look down a lot of throats see a lot of large, cryptic
tonsils.  They are supposed to shrink after age 10 or so, but I see a lot
of teens with nasty looking tonsils.  If they are subject to frequent
infections esp. strep, I say yank 'em.  But I deal with a sort of unique
population of kids who frequently don't get adequate care for medical
problems.  They also weren't breastfed :-)  Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
