Goodness, I had no idea that babies' ability to feel pain was in
doubt! I remember hearing a lecture by Brazelton on what we now
are calling shut-down (great term!). Not to mention various in-
utero studies. I also had no idea that non-Jewish babies circed
so young - I left States for Israel 25 years ago, so am out of
it somewhat, dealing only with Jews.
Thank you, Jan. Whole argument (and problem!) is much clearer to
me now. Please guys, try to remember that not everyone on the net
is American. Sometimes I struggle with culture differences (trust
me - the US has CHANGED in 25 years!), sometimes have problems
