Alyssa was 2 when Vinny went to Kindergarden, I was class mother, Alyssa was
class pet.  She surprised the para (teacher's helper) one day by taking a doll
bottle from the homemaking corner, lifting her shirt, "expressing" her milk
into it, and then feeding it to a doll.
        Vinny nursed his own doll until he was about 2, when he started to
bring them to me to nurse.  Once Alyssa became a cooperative playmate, she got
the honors.  A lot of their play still centers on the plight of their poor
orphaned baby vinyl mammals.  Sometimes another mammal donates mother's milk,
sometimes Alyssa supplies hers, sometimes the poor baby has to have
form-oo-la.
