My reason for the post regarding the reporters successful lawsuit
about their rBGH expose that the dairy cows purported to be *free
of hormones* in the dairy industry, were and are not. Here in
the Pacific NW, Darigold promised consumers they would not
knowingly buy milk from farmers who use this.

From these reporters expose, we know we can't count on Darigold or
the farmers to tell us the truth. People investigating are being
shut up. It takes "getting one's day in court" to bring the truth
out into the open.

Does anyone think it will be any different with the rest of the foods
that are being genetically engineered? Taco Bell's and other corn
tortillas have been the latest food recalled, but Aventis wants
the current supply to be consumed without human testing for possible
allergens. If it's allowed to be utilized for human rather than
animal consumption as intended, then they'll say "See, no one got
hurt" from eating this and they'll be more strident in getting it
to the marketplace. But, even from the point of animal consumption,
it'll be in our food chain without our knowledge.

This affects moms who are BF. If all the discussion on pulling dairy,
beef, her prenatal supplements, her beer or one drink, out of a BF
mom's diet to try to help her baby, how would one know if it is a
genetically engineered, up to now *safe,* food that is causing
the problems? It seems as we'll be having a GRAS problem on our
hands with many foods we consume.
