Please also be aware of the following foods which can be "gas-inducing" to
baby:  Anything from the cabbage family, onions and garlic, peanuts and
chocolate.  Also ingesting prune juice or any laxative type herbs can cause
cramping in baby's intestines.
Catnip tea is a wonderful standby to treat colic.  A mild tea can be made
and given to baby by an eyedropper.  Catnip can also be combined with fennel
and dill has been used extensively in England.
To help ease baby's distress, you can rub the baby's spine with tincture of
lobelia to help with relaxation, but do not give it internally.
Also Mom can drink catnip tea to ease gas causing problems.
