I got a "Gift Pack" in 1984 when I had my oldest son - basically, it wass a
6 pack of formula and a little plastic teddy bear toy for the baby. By 1897,
they had progressed to a tote bag with formula in it. I got one of those
when I had my daughter. As for the actual diaper bags, Im not sure of the
actual dates.

Subject: When did sample bags begin? Marsha Walker & all

Marsha Walker and all,
I'm in the process of developing a coalition project to offer a community
support diaper bag to our local hospital... an alternative to the formula
sample bags. I need all the ammunition I can get... and I was just
wondering, when did the formula co. start this? I don't remember getting
bags when I had my sons.. ~20 years ago. Marsha, I can't seem to find your
articles or notes on ethics.. any help would be appreciated.
