I would be interested in seeing this also.  It seems obvious that if
pacifier use while sleeping protects against sids, it is because frequent
bouts of sucking while sleeping protect against sids, which ofcourse is what
a baby sleeping with his mother is doing throughout the night.  Sleeping
with a pacifier is an imitation of cosleeping, albeit only one aspect of
it.
Lets hope the researchers take this further and eventually get mothers and
babies back together.
