I could comfort myself by believing that the author was biased in the mothers she chose to interview, but I suspect this would not be true. This article is really quite heartbreaking, as it is clear that so many women not only bf only out of a sense of obligation, but that so few women come to see breastfeeding as the gift is truly is both to mother and baby (and everyone else); instead it is viewed as a burden.
