I believe there are that many interruptions. I had 2 babies in the hospital,
they are now 2 and 4 years old. I couldn't wait to go home, even 24 hours
seemed too much. One of the interruptions that most annoyed me was the way they
handled ordering meals. Someone would come in about half an hour before each
meal and have me fill out the menu to choose what I wanted to eat. Why not
just do this once for the whole day? Anyhow, I had the nurse hang a sign on
the door saying to check with her before knocking. The only people that seemed
to respect this were the doctors, amazingly. The cleaning ladies totally
ignored it. I didn't get a wink of sleep in the hospital for either postpartum
stay. And why do they need to weigh the baby at 1am when he is only 12 hours
old?
