I attended one of Wolf and Glass' early workshops in Albuquerque, NM
(had used their book in my practice for years, and could not wait to see
them in person). They are not affiliated with any abm companies. They
are Occupational Therapists at a Children's hospital, and work with very
ill and impaired children.
I found their workshop to be extremely useful. They did not have many
slides of breastfeeding infants, because their population is such that
not many of their patients manage to breastfeed, but the general
principles of their work are useful for lactation consultants to know,
and invaluable when working with infants with cardiac, respiratory, or
sucking and swallowing difficulties. If you are the type that enjoys
knowing the theory behind everything, and like to extrapolate from
general principles to breastfeeding specifics, you will probably be
satisfied with this workshop. If you are looking for: "see this, do
that" clinical instruction, you might not be happy.
Let us know what you think if you decide to attend.
