I use this phrase when helping mums on the phone or at LLL meetings when
they have a problem that may require some persistence or even if it's a
situation that is entirely normal but the mum is having difficulties
with. When I say, " Well, I seem to have left my magic wand in the car"
they often laugh and realize that there isn't a simple fix. It sure
would be a handy thing to have, though.
