Lynn,

If she has PCOS she may be ovulating very irregularly and/or infrequently 
(which would explain the lack of cervical fluid and temperature shift). If 
she knows she's ovulating but still isn't seeing a temperature shift, I can 
think of a couple of reasons why. She may not have an accurate enough 
thermometer or she might not be getting a long enough stretch of sleep 
before she takes her temperature upon waking (a distinct possibility if she 
already has at least two children who wake her through the night).
