I'm not sure why she is being told BM cannot exceed more than 3 oz.
The airlines sound like they aren't clear on the issue. This is
actually an issue for TSA and will be handled at security. I was
exclusively pumping and traveled many times from 5 weeks on, with lots
of breastmilk. The only thing I encountered was additional screening.
They swabbed the outside of the bottle to test for possible flagged
substances. That said, I had my baby with me. I wonder if she would
receive resistance since she is not traveling with her child (I'm
assuming since it's business). I would recommend she print out the
info specific to breastmilk from the TSA site and keep it with her.
Hopefully that will be enough.
