I think Jean asked if anyone had experience with using a small firm straw
for supplementing small babies.  My son refused to take any nipple when he
was small, then when he was 6 months old we started hm on solids and tried
a sippy cup, he refused to suck on the nonspill cups.  I don't know why I
thought to try it but I bought a juice box (with 100%apple juice) they have
the small very hard straws and he sucked it down like he had been doing it
for years.  I made leaving him much easier because of having to fight him
with a bottle my daycare provider would just give him the 4 oz juice box,
he just got one a day 3 days a week when I was at work.  I should have
tried it with BM earlier.  Barb
