UK information about smoking and pregnancy in this week's BMJ

28 per cent of pregnant women smoke  - the same level as in 1992. Much
hand-wringing and brow-furrowing in BMJ....


These are also the women least likely to bf, as we know and as has already
been discussed here on Lactnet.

I'd love to know if the minority of women who stop smoking during preg, or
who cut down because of preg.  are also more likely than continuing smokers
to initiate  bf - I expect they are.
