In the program, "Living on Earth," which seemed to have been written by
Andrea de Leon:

The midwife interviewed, Ely Daniels, did bring up the fact that there is
no better alternative to breastmilk, but the point was completely ignored
by the journalist.

The saddest statement Andrea de Leon made was near the end of the program,
when she said of her breastfed son, "I'll try to mitigate his exposure at
the breast by limiting his exposure to animal fats when he starts solids."

Mitigate his exposure! Because exposure to breastmilk decreases the risk
of disease, mitigating this beneficial exposure, if taken literally, would
mean purposely seeking out ways to increase his risk of disease. She can't
mean that, but it does point out a lack of knowledge about the totality of
breastmilk's effects, which is irresponsible in a journalist piece about
breastmilk.

The point being made should have been, if the purest and best food in the
world cannot escape being potentially adversely affected by our present
policies on pollution--laws governing its creation and our tolerance of
it--it is time to change our policies. Now. We are "Living on Earth," and
we can't run away from it.

Does anyone know how to contact Andrea de Leon?
