Mary Kay: I'm a little behind in posts so if this has been mentioned
already, forgive the repitition. If baby is gaining well, meeting
developmental milestones, and mom is not sore, I don't think I would be
overly concerned about the clicking. Did you suggest she take baby for OT
or speech eval? Those gals can work wonders. If everyone working with mom
pulls back a little and everyone relaxes, this may also help her relax her
frame of mind and she may find that she is doing better with pumping.
Trust me, a working nursing mom does NOT need any more stress in her life!

I was at a 2 day women's retreat offered thru my Church over the weekend.
Wow, what a powerful, intense weekend that was, but very relaxing and
fulfilling for me. Two of the other women there are former patients of
mine and we had 2 nursing 4 and 5 month old babies with us also! Having
these babies with us over the weekend really brought home what being female
is all about - adult women of all ages (30's to 70's) brought together
celebrating life's continuum. We all felt our experience was enriched when
so many might have felt the presence of babies distracting. This is the
same Church I mentioned a while ago in a post - our pastoral assistant
offering the use of her office during Masses if a mother felt uncomfortable
nursing in the sanctuary during the Mass! I am blessed to be part of such
a wonderful faith community.
