Hi everyone,

I had a call today from a locan Physician's Assistant. She has a client who
did a two week course of Reglan, but noticed a significant dip in her supply
as she decreased. The PA's question to me was why can't the mother take it
longer than the two week regimen. I read to her some of the info. from Hale
and then did make some copies for her to read and also some information from
the website "Breastfeeding After Reduction" about Reglan...I pointed the
rare side effect of tardive dyskinesia. Anyway, my question is have any of
you worked with mothers who have take Reglan for longer periods of time and
did they do ok? The patiend is already on Zoloft for depression. Patient
started out taking 15 mg tid and then gradually tapered down. I also
suggested to the PA that if she or patient is concerned about side effects
there are herbals that can also increase milk supply. Thank you for any
input. I did do a search in the archives and did not find much to my
specific question.
