I have not heard of this, so I am also interested if this is true. I can  not 
even imaging doing this to myself when I have had mastitis. The pain for me  
at least would be way too much at thought of kneading the breast it is painful 
 enough when my baby would lay up against it or accidentally pat it. So if 
this  did turn out to be true I don't think for myself when I got an infection 
would  do this since it has always resolved without kneading.
