I think the important question here is what do the parents and the surrogate want and what have they decided before the baby is born. For some people the benefits of breastfeeding and having the surrogate actively involved with the baby is a focus, for others it may not be a desired outcome. I honestly don't think it is up to us to make this decision for anyone, I think the 3 or more adults involved in the process get to decide, and we get to provide support.
